The Position
As a Senior Solution Architect / Specialist Solution Architect, you will be responsible for designing end-to-end telecom solutions that align with customer business and technical requirements. You will play a critical role in requirement analysis, solution scoping, architecture design, technical documentation, and customer engagement throughout the solution lifecycle.
You will work closely with customers, presales, project delivery, R&D, QA, support teams, and external partners to ensure successful solution design, implementation feasibility, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Analyze customer requirements, RFPs/RFQs, business needs, and technical expectations.
- Design end-to-end telecom solutions using Telenity products, third-party platforms, and customized solution components.
- Prepare technical documentation including Statement of Work (SOW), High-Level Design (HLD), Low-Level Design (LLD), and solution descriptions.
- Design deployment architectures ensuring high availability, geo-redundancy, scalability, and performance.
- Create solution workflows, service call flows, and use case diagrams.
- Define project scope, assumptions, dependencies, exclusions, and associated risks.
- Prepare infrastructure sizing (vBOQ) based on customer traffic and deployment requirements.
- Conduct customer meetings, workshops, technical presentations, and architecture walkthroughs.
- Collaborate with customers, partners, presales, delivery, R&D, QA, support, and project teams to ensure solution feasibility and alignment.
- Support migration, upgrade, and transformation initiatives from legacy telecom platforms to modern digital architectures.
- Stay updated with telecom standards, emerging technologies, and industry best practices including 3GPP, TM Forum, 5G, Telco Cloud, Microservices, and Containerization.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong understanding of telecom solution architecture, system design, and digital service platforms.
- Expertise in preparing SOW, HLD, LLD, and technical solution documentation.
- Experience in infrastructure sizing, deployment planning, and capacity estimation.
- Strong knowledge of telecom VAS, messaging platforms, charging systems, APIs, and digital services.
- Experience with telecom interfaces and protocols such as SIGTRAN, SMPP, REST/SOAP APIs, Diameter, HTTPS, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable and technically feasible solutions.
- Strong understanding of high availability, redundancy, failover, virtualization, and cloud/on-premise deployment models.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Technical Architecture, or System Analysis within the telecom industry.
- Proven experience in telecom VAS, digital platforms, messaging, charging systems, APIs, and third-party integrations.
- Hands-on experience in customer-facing solution discussions, architecture reviews, and technical sign-offs.
- Experience in migration and transformation projects from legacy telecom platforms to modern digital environments.
- Telecom or Solution Architecture certifications will be an added advantage.
