The Position

This position will be responsible for developing, configuring the layout, design, workflow, reporting, and dashboard needs for the functional organizations and programs within the business.

As a JIRA developer, you develop and maintain automation workflows in Atlassian JIRA and other Atlassian products as needed. You build and deploy servers and applications, develop plugins to extend JIRA capabilities, make dashboards for JIRA Connect add-ons, configure custom fields, support JIRA configurations that include all client requirements, create custom preset filters, test outcomes, and identify defects. Other duties include upgrading and enhancing JIRA projects, defining and executing SDLC tasks, and documenting and maintaining the SDLC.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ability to automate projects through REST API & any scripting language, a must.
  • Ability to write custom JQL (Jira Query Language), a must.
  • Ability to construct custom dashboards using various filter types in JIRA, a must.
  • Ability to construct Confluence pages and integrate JIRA projects with Confluence pages, a must.
  • Experience in performing Atlassian installations, migrations, and plugin installation, a must.
  • Experience customizing JIRA projects with various schemes, complex workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes required.
  • Expert level Atlassian tool administration knowledge on JIRA and Confluence.

 Knowledge Required

  • 2+ years of proven Atlassian development experience
  • Experience with the Atlassian toolkit administration (JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket)
  • Ability to integrate Atlassian stack with external tools
  • Knowledge of JIRA add-ons including Scriptrunner, JIRA Command, EazyBI
  • Knowledge of one of the scripting languages, including Groovy
  • Ability to design processes in JIRA using JSU, ScriptRunner add-ons
  • Experience in performing Atlassian installations, upgrades, and migrations

Education & Experience

  • BSc degree from computer science or IT departments of universities
  • 3+ years of related experience
