Digital Services and API Senior Engineer

The Position

We are seeking an outstanding full-time digital services and API operation engineer to provide daily operation and maintenance of Telenity products.

Your duties will include handling operation tickets created by customers over Jira ticketing tool and taking actions within the SLA periods defined, creating product reports, improving service monitoring, performing operational automations, and contributing to operational documentations.

You must demonstrate strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. You will also need to have strong communication, organizational and customer service skills. Attention to details, the ability to work in teams, as well as independently are required for being successful in this role.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain excellent level of customer relationships.
  • Maintain high level of customer satisfaction by honoring the operational contracts and SLAs. 
  • Handle Digital Services and API operations, analyze and address customer concerns/issues.
  • Close follow-ups on the actions waiting from internal teams and update customer regularly.
  • Plan, perform and orchestrate maintenance activities.
  • Follow operational process flows, prepare documents such as MOP, RCA when needed.

Knowledge required 

Knowledge in Telecommunications and experience in related tools to provide high quality operations.

  • Digital Services and API management – Having experience working with SaaS platforms over AWS, APIs, subscription management and direct carrier billing. Collaborates with 3rd parties and internal Telenity teams for integration and UAT efforts for new SaaS clients. Strong know-how in API management platforms, API testing and integrations.
  • Telecommunications Fundamentals – Having knowledge and experience in telecommunications, especially in Messaging Flows, Value Added Services (VAS), Web Services. (Messaging, CRM, Provisioning, Billing & Charging, Settlement, SDP)
  • Linux Operating systems – Having hands-on experience on Linux, able to write scripts (bash or Python script) for various operational needs and work experience with java-based applications, nginxApache/Tomcat webservers over Linux.
  • Debugging tools – Ability to use various debugging tools while making issue analysis and testing. (Wireshark, SOAP UI, Smpp Simulator, Postman etc.)
  • Automation tools – Understanding importance of automating regular tasks, prior experience in any automation tools. (Rundeck, Jenkins, Ansible, Pentaho etc.)
  • Monitoring tools Essential knowledge of monitoring tools, prior experience in any monitoring tool (Zabbix, Nagios, HP Diagnostics etc.)
  • Databases – Having good knowledge of SQL language, ability to write complex queries. Knowledge in databases such as MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Redis is plus.

Education & Experience

  • BSc degree from computer science, electrical / electronic engineering departments of universities
  • Having at least 5 years of work experience in telecommunications / applications operations engineer / Dev-ops positions.

Work Conditions

  • Not having any obstacle to short-term travel abroad
