Madacom Leads Voice-enhanced Data Services
Monroe, CT and Antananarivo, Madagascar, February 23, 2004 – Telenity, a leading provider of IP-based service delivery platforms to the wireless industry, and Madacom, the first mobile operator to deploy a GSM network in Madagascar, today announced that Telenity's Mobile Services Platform has been selected to provide new information, entertainment and messaging services to Madacom's national and international users.
“Our strength is quality of service, which requires the flexibility to encourage all users, including prepaid and roaming customers, to use new services,” says Parwez Jugoo, General Manager at Madacom. “Telenity's Mobile Services Platform provides a powerful graphical service creation environment and standards-based interfaces that ensures we can move quickly on new services and, just as significantly, consolidate service creation, provisioning, development and billing in a highly scalable solution that also provides for migration to next generation and mobile broadband services.”
Telenity's Mobile Services Platform hosts voice mail, prepaid top-up, and account credit check applications, with subscriber call center applications which are directly connected to Madacom's call center. Already at 240 ports and still expanding, the Mobile Service Platform powers services with an innovative SCE and also provides integrated interactive voice, response, speech recognition text-to-speech capabilities, advanced voice mail, credit check and credit top-up services. Its multiple capabilities range from play menus of information and entertainment services, to make recordings, determine user location, and search subscriber, content and service databases.
To meet Madacom's rapid growth, the Telenity Mobile Service Platform has integrated with the Telenity Short Messaging Service Center and Madacom's prepaid system to service both pre- and post-paid subscribers. Telenity's Short Messaging Service Center has been live in the Madacom network since 2000 and expanded to 100K BHSM capacity.
“Madacom's approach takes into account both the immediate and future potential of voice-enhanced data services,” says Serif Beykoz, general manager at Telenity Europe. “Working with Madacom is especially rewarding because it is a true blending of state-of-the-art technology and business models that focus on ongoing customer growth and retention.”
