Telenity has a qualified Board of Directors who are the founding partners of the company and who represent Telenity’s mission and vision. They bring with them diverse knowledge of technology, innovation and business management. The members of the board also provide strategic direction, evaluate major decisions and actively engage with the executive management team.

Ilhan Bagoren - Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO

A s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ilhan Bagoren brings the vision and perspective on achieving operating efficiencies and is focused on assuring continued momentum for Telenity's sustained growth, product innovation and global expansion.

Bagoren brings over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, as an enterprenuer, technologist and executive. Before founding Telenity, Bagoren was a co-founder of NewNet in 1989 where he managed NewNet's technology and architecture strategy and pioneered new technology developments in computer-centric SS7 signaling and switching. At NewNet, he served as the President, establishing the company as the leading SS7 vendor in the market. Previously, Bagoren held several business development, engineering and operations positions at leading network equipment vendors such as Nortel and Alcatel.

Bagoren holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering and co-holder of three patents.

Bekir Serbet - Co-Founder and BoD Member

B ekir Serbet provides the vision and entrepreneurial spirit to help Telenity become a market leader in the next generation broadband enhanced services market. Serbet has over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before founding Telenity, Serbet was a co-founder of NewNet in 1989 where successfully led NewNet to become a pioneer and market leader in computer-centric SS7 signaling and switching. He forged strong business relationships with Sprint, AT&T, Hughes Network Systems, Cisco (Summa Four), Alcatel, Nortel, and Comverse Technology, and led NewNet into an acquisition by ADC Telecommunications in 1997. Previously, Serbet held several business development, engineering and operations positions at leading carriers and network equipment vendors such as Ameritech, Nortel and Alcatel.

Serbet holds a Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Esref Ozulkulu - Co-Founder and BoD Member

E sref Ozulkulu has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Before founding Telenity, Ozulkulu was a co-founder of NewNet in 1989 where he successfully co-lead NewNet's technology and architecture strategy and pioneered new technology and product developments in computer-centric SS7 signaling, switching and messaging areas. At NewNet, Ozulkulu was also engaged in establishing and managing strategic customer and partner relationships. Prior to NewNet, Ozulkulu held several business development, technical and operations positions at leading network equipment vendors such as Nortel, Alcatel and Tie Communications.

Ozulkulu holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Engineering.

Ahmet Ozalp - BoD Member

A hmet Ozalp brings nearly two decades of experience in telecommunications, wireless and digital media industries, as an executive, technologist and venture capitalist. Most recently, Ahmet Ozalp was the CEO of Telenity. Before that he was a Partner at Atlas Venture, an early stage venture capital, where he focused on investments in telecommunications, wireless and digital media. While at Atlas, Ozalp led investments in several startup companies including Extend Media and Myvu Corporation, where he still holds board seats. Ozalp also worked closely and had board level involvement with Ellacoya Networks (acquired by Arbor Networks), Isilon (IPO, Nasdaq:ISLN) and Gotuit Media. Before joining Atlas, Ozalp was VP of Marketing at Narad Networks, a VC-backed start-up company in the broadband access and cable infrastructure space, which was acquired by Ciena (Nasdaq:CIEN). Prior to Narad, Ozalp was a management consultant for Bain & Company in its technology and media practice working extensively with telecommunications equipment vendors, service providers and digital media companies.

In the earlier part of his career, Ahmet Ozalp spent six years at NewNet, a telecom startup, which was acquired by ADC (Nasdaq:ADCT) during his tenure. At NewNet, Ozalp was a member of the founding team who created the industry's first low cost, UNIX based SS7 platform and one of the first short messaging systems. He held successive positions as software engineer, product manager and director of engineering. While at ADC, Ozalp was the Product Line Director of the Advanced Wireless Intelligent Networks Group. He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, an MS in EE from Columbia University.
